Pastel Wreath

I was in the mood to play around with my Distress Oxides yesterday. I used Worn Lipstick (Distress Oxide Ink) on watercolor paper to create the background for this card. After the ink was dry, I applied some Gesso to the corners using the Lace Stencil from Tim Holtz. I then distressed the edges before adhering it to my white cardstock.
The flowers were stamped in the same ink and lightly watercolored with diluted oxide using a small paintbrush. I added some cheesecloth to my raffia wreath for a little more dimension and texture!

Supplies and Tools:
Watercolor paper, Worn Lipstick/Peeled Paint Distress Oxide (Tim Holtz), Blossom Stamp Set (Tim Holtz), Lace Stencil (Tim Holtz), Natural Beauty (Stampin' Up), Raffia, Cheesecloth, Baker's Twine, Pearls, Paintbrush, Gesso, Sharpie

This is lovely, Esther! The delicate florals are a perfect contrast to the raffia wreath, and the touch of gauze is really nice. I just purchased worn lipstick oxide ink and am playing with it, trying to get the hand of using another type of ink. Your card is just so pretty...I aspire to use the new ink as well as you have done!
