Skaters

I've been in the mood to create winter scenes with my distress inks of late. Be forewarned - you're going to see several different versions of of winter skies in the upcoming weeks!

This card was built around the skaters from the Winter Post Stampin' Up set.
For the sky, I used sponge daubers to apply my distress inks. I then spritzed them with water and heat set. The pond is diluted salty ocean painted on with a thin paintbrush.

Supplies and Tools:
Dies/Punches: Labels One Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Ribbon Banners (Spellbinders), Snowflake Punch (Martha Stewart)
Inks: Distress Inks (Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber), White Acrylic Paint, Touch Five Markers, Graphite Black Brilliance Ink (Tsukineko)
Stamps: Winter Post (Stampin' Up), Woodland Wonderland (Inkadinkado), Playful Christmas II (Kitchen Sinks Stamps)
Misc. Sponge Daubers, Small Paintbrush, Mounting Tape

Your scene is so pretty, Esther! Makes me want to skate (someplace where it looks like winter but feels like summer!) and drink hot chocolate!
