Today I'm sharing another card I created for the
Power and Spark challenge - Grab a Map. I chose the sketch below as the starting point for my bright and cheery birthday card.
The sketch seemed like the perfect fit for the "
Layer Cake" digital stamp set from Power Poppy that I've been itching to use.
I colored my image with prismacolor pencils, ran a colorless blending pen over them, and added a few highlights with watercolor markers.
I love the teal colored fuzzy paper (that I've been hoarding for years now!) paired with the bright red! So bright and happy looking!

Oooh, this looks yummy! I love this cake and have it in both digital and stamp version. A pretty bit of lace and gorgeous flocked paper. I've been hoarding my flocked papers, too. I need to stop hoarding all the best stuff. What a fun, cheerful, pretty card! Thanks for sharing it in our kitchen challenge at Double D!

A paper crafter being a paper hoarder - I can't imagine. Wy do we do that - keep it for that one special card. But I love it too - I waned to reach out and touch it. The cake is colored beautifully.
