It's time for our Wednesday challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we have an inspiration board for you. This challenge is a fun cross between a photo challenge and a color challenge. You can choose to be inspired by the colors, the photograph, or both!
I chose to be inspired by the beautiful spring color pallete. To create my card I stamped the 10201-W, Flower Power Background in Versamark ink and embossed it with midnight black embossing powder. I then did some messy watercoloring with distress oxides and added a few diluted ink splatters and pearls for embellishment.

Nice! I really like the messy watercolor effect.
So pretty - love the messy watercoloring - (all of my watercoloring looks messy). LOL I also love to see all the textures you use in your cards. You must have a special for that.
Esther, I really love your loose watercolor here and find it just as effective as those painfully colored designs. Such a beauty indeed! This brightens my day. :) Hugs, Autumn
Stunning card and water coloring! We both picked the same stamp and our cards are so totally different, what fun!
such pretty watercoloring and like the speckles on it also! Great save and addition with the flowers on the inside!
This card is stunning Esther. Glad you made use of the extra card that didn't come out as you planned. I looked over the stamp site and see they are from my home state of Maine. There are some nice stamps there, including this one right here that you used. Love it. I see they also have a lot of stamping tips as well. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards with us so faithfully. What a blessing you are! ~ Abby
Wow! Great save with the second card, Esther, but this is an absolute stunner! Love your watercoloring it gives the flowers such an artsy look and brings them to life. Love your take on the inspiration.
What an absolutely gorgeous card! I love how you matched the inside with the outside too! So beautiful! Thanks so much for joining us at Paper Craft Crew for our color challenge!
Beautiful!!! The inspiration photos look awesome on this background!
