Layer Cake

I recently had an order for 25 handmade cards through our local florist. Five of those were a custom order for birthday cake cards with a pop up inside! I immediately though of the Layer Cake Digi from Power Poppy and set to work creating a set of five in this design.

For the pop up cupcake I used a free template from Inspired and Unscripted (here). I colored the wrapper with distress crayons, embossed swirls into my icing, and added a few sequins for sprinkles.

Supplies and Tools:
Embossing: Swirls Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
Embellishments: Sequins, Burlap String
Inks: Crayola Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, Distress Crayons (Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade)
Punches: Embroidery Deep Edge Punch (Martha Stewart)
Stamps: Banner Stamp (unknown),  Layer Cake (Power Poppy)
Tools: Paper Crimper (Fiskars)
