Watercolor Sympathy
Today I'm sharing a simple watercolor scene I created for one of my husband's coworkers that recently lost his mother.
After I had painted my scene (sky, grass, water) I applied some green paint to my tree stamp and pressed it into my watercolor background. The tree stamped directly on the card front has a bit more water mixed into the paint than the one I stamped separate and fussy cut.
For the inside I used two shades of distress ink to stamp my trees before adding a scripture over top.
Supplies and Tools:
Dies: Stitched Oval
Ink: Sonnet Watercolors, Mowed Lawn/Pine Forest Distress Ink (Ranger), Tuxedo Black Ink (Memento)
Misc. Watercolor Paper
Stamps: Lg. Pine Tree (Repeat Impressions), Lg. Pine Forest (Repeat Impressions), Thoughts and Prayers (Stampin' Up), Scripture (Biblical Impressions) Down by the Sea (Inkadinkado)

This is so very beautiful, Esther! Love your watercolor scene, and love how you finished the inside, too. <3
Gorgeous sympathy card. I find that they are the hardest to create, but can be the most appreciated of all the cards we send. Very peaceful scene.
What a serene and beautiful work of art, Esther! It would look so lovely on canvas!! Thank you so much for joining in the TIME OUT Challenge! Hugs, Darnell
This is so pretty - your water colouring is just gorgeous! I love how you carried the water colouring through to the inside too! Thanks for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill
