He will sustain you

Today I'm sharing a card I created to CASE one of Helen Gullet's cards on the Stamplorations blog (second one on this page). This is actually my second time to CASE this card -- the first one copied the design layout -- this one keeps the wood background but flips the design sideways.

To create this card I:
  • swiped Brushed Corduroy/Walnut Stain distress ink (Ranger) down a piece of kraft cardstock, spritzed with water, and heat set
    • using my Martha Stewart Scoring Board, I scored lines down my card stock every 3/4 of an inch
    • I inked up my Crackle Background stamp (Stampin' Up) with Walnut Stain Distress Ink (Ranger) and stamped over my panel
    • I added a bit of depth to the scored lines with a Touch Five marker
  • the verse is from He Will Sustain You (Graciellie - Unity Stamp Company) and has the crackle background stamped over it and a faux stitching border (Sharpie Marker) around the edge
  • I die cut some brown card stock with the Beaded Ovals Nestabilites (Spellbinders) and added Opal Liquid Pearls around the edges
  • the flowers are digital stamps from the Together set (Graciellie Designs)
    • I changed their colors to pink and green, printed them, and added some highlights with Prismacolor Pencils
    • I finished off my flowers with Clear Glitter and Baker's Twine bows
  • The center panel is popped up off my card with mounting tape

Beautiful! I am loving the wood look! I am actually almost finished with a farm album for my grand-daughter and I put wood look paper on the outside.

You did a fantastic job with that wood grain background, your flowers are so very sweet, great fussy cutting of them and love the beaded frame of your great verse!
