Easy Peasy Striped Backgrounds


Hello blog friends! It's time for another inspirational post over on the Cropstop blog. Today I'm sharing three really simple and easy projects centered around the idea of creating a striped background with distress inks and water.

Supplies and Tools for card #1
Dies: Scallop Basic Edges 2 Set from My Favorite Things
Embellishments: Sequins
Misc. Watercolor Paper, Paintbrush 
Ink: Spun Sugar, Cracked Pistachio, and Scattered Straw Distress Ink (Ranger),  Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko)
Stamps: Zentangle Butterfly (Woodware)



Supplies and Tools for card #2
Dies: Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Scallop Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Birds on a Wire (Spellbinders)
Misc. Watercolor paper, paintbrush
Ink: Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Fired Brick Distress Ink (Ranger)

Supplies and Tools for bookmark
Ink: Salty Ocean, Broken China, and Blueprint Sketch , Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink (Ranger), White Embossing Powder, Versamark Watermark Ink
Misc. Watercolor paper, Paintbrush, Sponge Daubers
Stamps:  Zentangle Butterfly (Woodware)
Stencils:  Feathers Stencil (TCW)

I love the backgrounds you created! Those silhouette birds look amazing on the colorful lines - it's definitely a WOW factor card! Loving that bookmark as well with the pretty blue colors. Thanks for the CropStop info, but I feel like I'd be cheating if I entered my nautical card as it was posted 3 days ago. I will check the challenge next week and be sure to play along if I use the right products - thanks for letting me know :)
