Harvest Blessings

Happy Friday everyone! Graciellie Design is getting a jump start on the weekend with a BIG pre-release for September. There are four new digital stamp sets.....two autumn themed sets and two Christmas themed sets. I'm showcasing the one called "Harvest Blessings" today.

I decided to do something different this time -- instead of coloring my flower with prismacolor pencils (like I usually do), I printed it on yellow card stock in different sizes and created a fun layered flower!

To create this card I:
  • printed the flower from Harvest Blessings on yellow cardstock in three different sizes
    • added some Fossilized Amber/ Spiced Marmalade / Walnut Stain ink to the edges of all the petals and fussy cut the flowers
    • turned the flowers over and lightly spritzed the reverse side before crumpling them up into tiny balls (spraying the reverse side keeps the ink from smearing when using an ink jet printer)
    • unrolled my flowers and layered them to create a 3D flower
    • added glue and instant coffee to the center of my flower
  •  printed the flower a second time - this time on green card stock
    •  inked the leaves with walnut stain, spiced marmalade, and mowed lawn distress ink
    • layered a yellow flower over the green one and added the 3D flower over that
  • embossed the background with the Lattice Embossing Folder (Creative Expressions)
    • applied walnut stain distress ink to the raised portions
    • distressed the edges and rolled two corner before gluing to my card front
  • printed the sentiment and cut it out with the Labels Nestabilities 10 (Spellbinders)
    • added three yellow rhinestones to the bottom of  the label
