Be strong....

It's time for a sketch challenge over on the Repeat Impressions blog.  If you've followed me for very long, you've probably figured out that I like to "stretch the sketch" a bit and come up with something "outside the box." So....here's my take on this week's challenge --- I can't wait to see what YOU come up with!

To create this card I:
  • embossed a piece of kraft card stock with Script embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
    • lightly rubbed a glue stick over the embossing and added some glimmer with Ranger foil sheets in gold/bronze
  • adhered a piece of wide white lace down the left side and tied a three burlap string bow over top
    • added a wooden button to the center
  • smooshed Wild Honey & Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide into a piece of watercolor paper
  • die cut leaves with the Fall Foliage Thinlit dies (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • stamped 6806-U, Sheet Music in Versamark watermark ink, added Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set
  • Stamped 1905-I, Be strong . . . in Walnut Stain Distress Oxide (Ranger) on a piece of designer paper, trimmed, and used a  corner rounder punch on two corners
  • using a small flower punch I cut eight flowers (from the same piece of paper I cut the leaves) and layered two together adding a tiny white pearl to the centers

  • For my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar
  • There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built
    • you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link or win

Absolutely stunning, Esther, and yes...I love your outside the box design! And that sentiment...well, what more information does anyone need in this life?

Hi Esther,

Wow, I learned new things on your blog too! Your card is so visually pleasing and I know it must be very tactile too. You really know how to layer up so much deliciousness. I love the idea of these reflecting leaves and I always forget to use buttons on my card. What pleasing colors you chose.
