Using Filters with Digital Stamps

Hello Friends! Today I have a Christmas card I created by layering different filters in my photo editing program. Many times the holidays are full of hustle and bustle, and it's hard to find time to create. Not only that, but many crafters find digital stamps intimidating because they aren't "professional" in their coloring.  So.....I wanted to create something that you don't need coloring skills for and you can "whip up" in very little time.

I'll walk you through the steps I used to create this bright and colorful card in just a few minutes using Graciellie's Dreaming of Christmas digital stamp set.
The program I used is a free download called  Photoscape photo editing program. Be sure to save your work after each step so you don't lose what you've just done.

Step One:
Open your image in Photoscape

Step Two:
Select Light
Light Leaks (1)
001

Step Three:
Select Film
Textures
Fabric 007 -----adjust the amount and scale to your liking

Step Four:
Select Film
Dirt & Scratches
Select White
010 --- adjust the amount to your liking

Step Five:
Select Film
Overlays
Vintage A007 - adjust the amount to your liking

Step Six:
Select "Insert" from the top tab
Click on the Square (filled in) box  and select white as the color
Create a strip across your image and adjust the opacity to your liking

Step Seven:
Select  "Insert" from the top tab
Select "Image"
Add your sentiment, resize, and position according to your liking

The last step is simply to print and mat your image on your card front! The possibilities of design are countless, and the only skill needed is the ability to click the mouse button and a little imagination! (smile!)

This is gorgeous, Esther!! Thanks for the walk through of the editing program as I am one of those that doesn't have a clue what to do with a digital image other than resize it and print it out. I will have to check out this program.
