A gentleman from church commissioned me to create some handmade Christmas cards for him to use this year. This is one of the designs I came up with using some new dies I recently bought from The Scrapping Cottage!
Since I was making six in this design, and since those dies have some delicate pieces to pop out I found the dryer sheet trick to be VERY useful!
1. place your die face up on your Cuttlebug plates
2. add your paper
3. top with a dryer sheet
4. add your top plate.
The dryer sheet holds on to all the little pieces and all you have to do is peel away your die cut piece and wa-la, it's ready to use!
Supplies and tools:
Dies/Punches: Bethlehem Border (Cottage Cutz), Away in a Manger (Cottage Cutz), Dotted Oval Framelits (Sizzix), Small Star punch
Ink: Distress Inks in these three colors: Blueprint Sketch/Chipped Sapphire, Ground Espresso (Ranger), Moonlight White Brilliance (Tsukineko), Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad, Midnight Black Embossing Powder (Stampendous)
Stamps: Sentiment from Nativity set (Inkadinkado)Different Strokes (Basic Grey), Shifting Sands (Posh Impressions)

I have not tried the dryer sheet method but have used wax paper

So pretty - love silhouette cards - they made such a statement. OK I am going to have to try the dryer sheet, as I don't enjoy poking pieces out of a die.
