Watercolor Salt Background


So... Betsy Veldman posted the coolest tutorial for creating watercolor salt backgrounds, and I just had to try it out! I went with a sea themed card for mine -- you can view the tutorial and Betsy's gorgeous cards by clicking here.


Supplies and tools:
  • Canson Watercolor Paper
  • Sonnet Watercolor Paints
  • Salt
  • Food Coloring
  • Circle - Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
  • 3D Lumber Embossing folder (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Distress Oxide (Ranger) in these colors:
    • Worn Lipstick, Faded Jeans, Seedless Preserves
  • Seaside Stamp Set (Reverse Confetti) 
  • Cottage Cutz Dies
    • Anchor
    • Paddles and Rope Ladder
