Kraft and Coral

Today's card features one of my larger homemade flowers using some older stamps from Heartfelt Creations.

Here's how I put this card together:

I began by embossing a piece of kraft card stock with the Lattice Embossing Folder from Creative Expressions. I distressed the edges and inked around them with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide (Ranger). I matted this panel on a piece of coral colored card stock, also with distressed edges.

Next, I cut one of my coffee stained doilies in half and glued it to the left side of my card. I added a piece of crocheted lace across the bottom of my panel. The vines were cut using the Romantic Vines dies (Spellbinders), and embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug). I lightly inked the embossing with a bit of Walnut Stain DO to help it stand out.

To create my flower I:
Stamped my Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade, and Wild Honey Distress Oxide pads on my desk and spritzed them with water. I ran a piece of watercolor paper through my inks, heat set, and repeated till I achieved a color I liked.

Next I stamped the Flora Grande 2 flowers (Heartfelt Creations) in Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, and fussy cut each flower.  I lightly spritzed the reverse side of each flower and crumpled it into a ball. After sufficient wrinkling, I unrolled them and dried them with my heat gun.

To finish off my flowers I cut along the petal lines and inked the edges in Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. After layering them together, I  lightly inked the tips with Picket Fence Distress Stain and added a large pearl to the center.

Beautiful! Your fussy cut stamped flower is so gorgeous it's hard to believe it was stamped and not a textured die cut! Thanks for joining us at Addicted To Stamps Challenge. Doni (DT)
