Citrus Floating Frames

It's time for our monthly Designer's Choice Challenge over on The House That Stamps Built. This month it was my turn to pick the theme and I chose: "Try a New Technique." It doesn't have to be new in the sense of recent --- just something you've never done before.

For my cards I chose to create some floating frames with Repeat Impressions citrus themed stamps.

I first noticed this technique when my teammate, Heather, created a card for a challenge back in April. (You can find her beautiful work here.) She learned the technique from this video tutorial by Jennifer McGuire.

Supplies and Tools:

For my blog readers:

  • Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store  by using the code: rr10ea
  • There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built
    • you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link or win
  • One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month

Love the lemons and have never tried a "floating frame" - off to watch the video as I'm home today with nothing to do (but Cinderella chores) so a few hours in my craft is in order. Your coloring on the lemons is perfect.

Very cool way to create two cards with one panel. Thanks for sharing with us at MIU.
