Petals For the Pittmans - Winding Down

For those of you who don't follow me on Instagram and didn't see my post there - the Petals for the Pittmans Fundraiser dealine has been extended to August 14th. There's just SEVEN days left to participate. Visit Polka Dot Orchard's Blog for all the details.

Jessica is having a link party where you can enter ANY FLORAL PAPERCRAFT for a chance to win some great prizes - just a few of which are pictured below.

The card I'm sharing today features one of the lovely digis from the special Petals for the Pittmans fundraiser sets -- You can find them in Polka Dot Orchard's Etsy Shop....but you better hurry, they're only available till the 14th!

I went for a vintage grunge look on this card by adding splatters, distressing, and gold embossing powder. I also tried something new -- I colored my entire image with a cream pencil before adding colors. I found this gave my image a more soft, pastel look - kind of fun!

Supplies and tools:
  • Floral Digi (Donated by Angie Blom)
  • Bitty Regards (Unity Stamp Company)
  • Canson Watercolor Paper
  • Prismacolor Pencils
  • Kraft Card Stock
  • Gothic Stencil (Stampers Anonymous - Tim Holtz)
  • Walnut Stain & Black Soot Distress Oxide
  • Versamark Watermark Ink
  • Metallic Gold Embossing Powder
  • Burlap String

Esther, this is a bit of a different look for you, and I like your grungy side! That background is amazing--so perfectly grungy and vintage. The flower image is a show stopper, and how clever to give it the pastel look by adding a cream pencil base. I need to give this a try! Your bits of gold embossing is the perfect finishing touch, and make this perfect for our Marvelous Metallics Challenge at the Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog! Thank you for sharing! Hugs! Sara Emily
