Vintage Botanical

I created today's card to play along in some super fun challenges posted this past week. It uses LOTS of Tim Holtz products - inks, dies, and stamps!

To create my background I:
  • painted a piece of watercolor paper with tea, and embossed it with the 3D Botancial die inked with dusty concord distress oxide
  • next I tapped my versamark watermark ink pad over the paper and lightly sprinkled gold embossing powder over top before heat setting

I created my flower by:
  • die cutting watercolor paper with the tattered floral die
  • inking the paper with dusty concord ink - spritzing with water, and heat setting
  • tapping my versamark watermark ink pad over it and sprinkling it with gold embossing powder
  • adding punched and scrunched tiny suns to the center
  • the vines are inked with peeled paint, lucky clover, and walnut stain oxide

Supplies and tools:
  • Canson Watercolor Paper
  • Tea (for staining papers)
  • 3D Botancial Embossing Folder (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Tattered Floral Die (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Garden Greens Thinlits (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Crochet Thinlits (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • French Market Stamp Set (Stampers Anonymous - Tim Holtz)
  • Small Sun Punch
  • Dictionary Page
  • McGill Craft Molding Mat
  • Versamark Watermark Ink
  • Metallic Gold Embossing Powder
  • These colors of Distress Oxide
    • Dusty Concord
    • Peeled Paint
    • Lucky Clover
    • Walnut Stain
    • Black Soot
