Gentle Shepherd

I have something different to share with you this week. Instead of my usual 100 Days of Grace and Gratitude Devotional Journal page, I did an art journal page based on a song that has been running through my head for the past week or more. The song is called "Gentle Shepherd," and it's a beautiful prayer that's applicable in both good times and bad!

Gentle Shepherd come and lead us
For we need you to help us find our way
Gentle Shepherd come and feed us
For we need your strength from day to day
There's no other we can turn to
Who can help us face another day
Gentle Shepherd come and lead us
For we need to you to help us find our way

(listen to the Gaither Homecoming family sing it here)

On their own, sheep are helpless and unable to care for themselves. They are entirely dependent on their shepherd to guide them, protect them, and provide for them. The Bible compares us to sheep, and it also tells us that Jesus is our Good Shepherd. Aren't you thankful we don't have to try and make it alone, but we can find strength, help, and provision in our gentle Shepherd.

so thankful that we don't have to go through this on our own, that I know the love God has for us and the peace he wants us to seek through Him!
Love your coloring on this, especially the mountains!

Another beautiful card - and I love the shepherd and the sheep - which is so depicted by this card. I know that God has this - sometimes question why but have faith that HE knows.
