I'm up on the Stamp Simply Blog today sharing two fairly quick-and-easy graduation cards. I'm not always sure what to do for teenagers, but I thought it would be a great opportunity to use the super fun "Ink Drops" paper pad that reminds me of the awesome alcohol ink backgrounds so many cardmakers create. For my first card I paired the Ink Drops paper with a floral design and added a sentiment from the Graduation stamp set.
Supplies and Tools from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store:
- Ink Drops - Vivid Paper Pad (Craft Consortium)
- Bloom & Wild Paper Pad (Craft Consortium)
- Graduation Sentiments
- Purple Nite Seam Binding
- Foam Mounting Tape
- Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink
For this second card I die cut some vines from white card stock and cut three of the sentiment, layering one on top of the other. I then embossed my sentiment with gold embossing powder to coordinate with the gold in the background and make it stand out from the design a bit more.
Supplies and Tools for card #2 -
- Ink Drops - Vivid Paper Pad (Craft Consortium)
- Stick Family Sentiments
- Romantic Vines (Spellbinders)
- Phrase Set 2 (Spellbinders)
- Versarmark Watermark Ink Pad
- Gold Embossing Powder

- Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink

Wow those papers are gorgeous, I was sure that you did some alcohol backgrounds before I read they were papers, love how you have used them in both cards, the floral paper with the first one is beautiful, great sentiment for graduation and love the gold sentiment with the leaf die on the second!
