I'm back for week two as a guest designer for the Krafty Chicks Challenge (such an honor!). This week the theme is: Christmas. In all honesty I'm not one of those crafters that makes Christmas cards all year long -- I just can't get in the mood, but using some beautiful products from Papertrey Ink made it a little easier!
I think there's something striking about a plain white background with vibrant red flowers. I cut the blooms from red card stock and inked the edges with walnut stain distress ink to darken them a bit. The greenery was cut from kraft card stock and inked with rustic wilderness distress ink. I love the shimmer the gold metallic paint splatters add.
Supplies and Tools:
- Into the Blooms: Dahlia Die (Papertrey Ink)
- The Greatest Gift Stamps (Papertrey Ink)
- White Pearls
- Black Gems
- Gold Metallic Paint
- Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink
- These Colors of Distress Ink (Ranger):
- Walnut Stain, Rustic Wilderness

love the gold metallic paints you added as a splatter on Poinsettia and leaves, it gives so much more texture to it. Thank you for playing with us at MMM
The poinsettias are gorgeous against the white, and love the gold splatters. Such a pretty card!
