Dressing up Food Gifts

Stamp Simply is doing a week of gift giving with each member sharing a pretty way to dress up their gift presentation. You'll want to stop by the blog every day to see what all the girls come up with.

I do a lot of food gifts, both at Christmas and throughout the year. This is one of my all time favorite quick bread recipes that's always a hit wherever I take it.

Here's a free printable recipe card for making this delicious bread.

To dress up my gift I started by punching a fancy border along the edge of my white lunch bag. Next I wrapped burlap ribbon and olive green sheer ribbon around the bag and taped them together on the reverse side. I cut a tag from a piece of designer paper another one from kraft card stock. I stamped one of the larger stamps from the Jesus stamp set across the front of the kraft tag in vintage photo ink and added a small "just for you" sentiment in the bottom corner. The tree was stamped in two shades of green distress ink, and I added some tiny white pearls to dress it up a bit. A pretty petaloo flower was added to the top and the whole thing was adhered to my wrap with black baker's twine.
