Bunny Baskets

I'm up on the  Stamp Simply blog today sharing these fun little Easter treats. I got the idea from Pinterest, but I didn't have the same die that Stacy used (click here to see her awesome tutorial) to create hers, so I designed a little basket of my own. I've created a little picture tutorial for anyone who would like to create one without a treat bag die.

Start with a piece of kraft card stock that measures 6.5" x 3.5"

Score at 2.5", 2.75", 3", 5.5", 5.75", and 6"

Turn and score at 3 1/8"

Emboss with the Intertwine Embossing Folder

Turn to the reverse side and re-score your lines

Fold both sets of three score lines in this pattern - mountain fold, valley fold, mountain fold

See above photo to see where to snip the score lines

Add color to your basket with brown distress inks/oxides/sprays etc.

Fold up and glue together.

I followed Stacy's directions for the piece across the top and the handle (Cut a piece of kraft card stock to 8.5" x 1/4", ink it with distress ink, and adhere it to the top edge. The handle piece is folded in half for stability.)

The grass was created by cutting a piece of typing paper to 2 1/5 inches, swiping it with green distress ink, and snipping it with shredding scissors.

Since I love textures, I cut the bunnies from canvas paper and glued them to a piece of heavy card stock. The bunny and carrot pieces were colored by ink smooshing them in distress inks.

Supplies from Stamp Simply:

Other Supplies:

  • Canvas Paper
  • These colors of Distress Ink (Ranger):
    • Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade
