He Stilled the Storm

I'm up on the Stamp Simply blog with this mini art journaling page featuring some of the products in their 20% off sale this week.

I started by ink smooshing two shades of blue distress ink onto the background and spot stamping some text over top. I added the birds in flight and then a bit of stenciling using white gesso and a TH stencil. The main images were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I added a bit of cheesecloth and five tiny rhinestones for texture.

Esther, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love all of the layering that you put into the background. It definitely feels “stormy,” and that’s the perfect scripture to go along with that scene. I also like the cheese cloth in there. Again, it gives it a stormy look. But what I really love is how you used this on the front of a spiral notebook. Such a great twist! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We appreciate your participation!

Wonderful page, I love your background, great mixed media style and I love the bridge in the background with the light house in the foreground. Like how you layered the verse with them!
