Mother's Day Tea Favors

Thought I'd show you the little "tea treats" I made up for the mothers of our church for Mother's Day. I got the little cup template here....I re-sized it to fit my needs.  The flowers are from Heartfelt Creations - the Posie set -- with glitter in the middle! I stapled some tea bags to the back of the cup.
The cupcakes were decorated with two toned icing.
Here they are 30 some of them - 1/2 blue...1/2 pink
Thought I'd share a picture of the decorating I did for the front of the church
I decorated the tree with teacups and teabags

Cupcakes

Have you seen the cute cupcake stuff they have at Dollar General? They have tea towel, pot holders, recipe cards, note books (several styles), tablecloth, placemats, recipe holders, and trinket boxes all in a cupcake theme.  They're so bright and cheerful I just couldn't resist picking up a couple things to give as gifts.
While I was at it I decided to make a cupcake shaped card to go along with the gifts.
The template for this cupcake came from Inspired and Unscripted -- aren't they just adorable?
I also found a cute cupcake shaped sentiment (from Bits of Paper) that I used in one of the cards.
Other supplies used:
  • Paper Crimper
    • for cupcake wrapper
  • Glitter
  • Strawberry template
  • Brown ribbon
  • Liquid Aplique
  • Pink Cardstock
  • Misc. Paper Scraps from my scrap bin

Plant Picks

I like to give little thank you gifts to the ladies who help me feed guest speakers at our church.  This time I chose to give most of them a floral thank you (three of "my ladies" don't do flowers so they got something else)....and included a plant pick in each one.
I made the picks using the Flora Grande Stamp Set from Heartfelt Creations and for the centers I used some Posy Center Stamps I found in the sale bin (two sets for less than one set cost!) at the Allentown Convention. They are from Outlines Rubber Stamp Co.
Here's a closer view of my flower picks so you can see the details a little better.
Stamped on floral paper with Versa Mark and embossed with pink/white/blue/gold embossing powder. The ladies seemed to like them -- and I had fun making them up.
Here are a few pics from the Outlines Rubber Stamps Booth to show you how they used the Posy Centers and their flowers too!

Touring the Paris Bathroom

Thought I'd post some final pictures of my Paris/Shabby Chic Bathroom Makeover.
Left side of the counter
Right side of the counter
I'm still searching for a little stand to paint white and put a few of the things on the counter on, so it won't be quite as "cluttered" as it may look in these picture.
My shower curtain --- purchased at Wal-mart for $20
The only things not pictured are the two rugs on the floor -- one pink, one pink and white.
Here are all the posts I did on my bathroom makeover (just in case you you missed them).
