My Friend picked the challenge for this week -- to use the above sewing machine stamp (PSX) on our creation. I haven't had a lot of extra time to stamp lately, so one creation is all I finished.....BUT it did take me several days to complete it (working on it bit by bit when a free moment occurred.)
Here's how the card went together:
- I picked six different BLUE paper scraps from my scrap bin
- I punched out six squares from each paper selection with my 3/4 in. square punch
- Glued all the pieces to a white piece of cardstock
- Used my Singer Pixie to stitch zig zag stitches (with blue thread) all over my little quilt
- Stamped my Sewing Machine Stamp (PSX) onto a piece of Clear Embossable Window Plastic (Gary M. Burlin & Co.) with Versa Mark
- Embossed with Black Embossing Powder
- Attached clear layer to my quilt using four turquoise eyelets
- Layered the quilt on white/turquoise cardstock
- Punched two sections of border (one white/one turquoise) using Threading Water border punch (Fiskars)
- Attached the border to the bottom of the card
- Hand cut small tag
- Stamped and Embossed (white embossing powder) sending my love sentiment (Studio G)
- Traced around tag with white paint marker
- Adhered two branches to each side of the tag -- punched with my Martha Stewart branch punch
- Adhered two (homemade - tutorial link on side) rolled turquoise roses to each side of the tag (two white leaves underneath - leaf punch)

Oh, wow!! When I first looked at it, I thought, "You've got to be kidding me. She handcut all those intricate details??" :)
What a genius idea to use window plastic. I'll definitely be filing that idea away for later! Where did you get your plastic?
This is a gorgeous card, and I'm going to have to remember it for the scrap quilt cards I like to make so often.
Thank you for your sweet compliments.....I got the clear embossable plastic in PA - at Nora's. She had several cards made up using it. Their idea was to stamp on it with Staz-on and then flip it over and fill it in with glitter. Very gorgeous cards, but you have to have just the right stamps to make it turn out right.
