I made these two cards around the paper pieced tulips from Scrapbooks Etc. As soon as I saw this paper piecing pattern I knew I wanted to use it. Not sure if you can see it in the above picture but that tulip stands out from the card a bit.
I used my water color pencils to add some "detail" to it and then while it was still damp I added some dimension by shaping ---curving it's edges.
Can you see the tiny fluttering butterflies on the card -- they were lots of fun too
