Quilt Cards

A friend of mine is having a birthday next week. Her request (every year) is for me to make her homemade cards as her gift.
This year I decided to make a set of Scripture Quilt Cards for her using the tutorial I found on Karen Barber's Blog.
I made two in each color scheme -- you can see I alternated the matting and the order of the star points -- also the button colors.
I kept them fairly simple so as to showcase the quilted part.
After finishing each quilt square I ran it through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder to add texture.
A simple border (stamped in white) and a Scripture (stamped in brown) finish off the cards.
Hope she likes them!

Just awesome! Love your quilt blocks. I just love quilts and to see these just made me smile. I just finished a great fiction series called The Elm Creek Quilt Series. It is fiction, but they weave historical info into the stories about a woman who forms a quilt camp and it is just great. Learned a lot about quilt blocks and their origin and meaning as well as how quilts have been used throughout the ages. Just thought you might enjoy them. TGIF!

These are beautiful. The button in the middle is the perfect finishing touch.

What a bunch of great cards. From a distance, this may look simple but I totally understand how time consuming piecing this together. What an awesome job. Thanks for blessing us with your artwork at Word Art Wednesday and hope to see you in our Challenges every week. Praying for blessings in your life.

As usual, I adore your quilt block cards! Sometime we need to get together and make a bunch.
