Packing Tape Glitter Technique

Today (on the Cropstop blog) I'm sharing a fun technique for adding glitter behind your die cuts pieces. All you need is a piece of packing tape! (Click here to go to the tutorial)
I chose a die cut from the Tim Holtz Mixed Media Thinlints set. After stamping it with the crackle background (Stampin’ Up), I used my ink applicator to apply some Fossilized Amber Distress Ink around the edges before adding my Spring Pale Yellow Glitter (Art Accentz). Across the bottom I added a strip of (green) Petaloo lace and tied some natural colored burlap string in a bow over the top. I then added a tiny air dry flower to the center of my bow.
For my background, I embossed a piece of (pastel) Core’dinations Cardstock with the One World embossing folder from Couture Creations and sanded it to reveal the inner core.  The daisy and bee were freebies from the Graphics Fairy as well as the bee image I used inside the card. The bee is popped up with foam tape for extra dimension.
Inside: I used my Circle and Blossom Nestabilities (Spellbinders) to frame my beehive and stamped a cute sentiment from the Fun Border Stamp set from Recollections.
I’d love to see how you use this technique on your cards, so stop by the CURRENT CHALLENGE and link up your projects using products from companies Cropstop carries! Can’t wait to see your creations!
