Coffee and Flowers

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a card created with Graciellie Design's  beautiful new coffee-themed digital stamp set called "Coffee and Flowers."

To create my background I:
  • Scored lines (1/4 inch apart - Martha Stewart scoring board) on some gray coredinations card stock
  •  swiped hickory smoke and vintage photo distress ink (Ranger) down it
  • added a bit of picket fence distress stain (Ranger)
  • sanded the edges and portions of the center to distress it

For my flower bouquet I:
  • printed the full digi on white card stock
  • printed the flowers, leaves, and tea cup on various pieces of designer paper
  • added highlights with Touch Five Markers
  • fussy cut each section and paper pieced it over the white copy

To finish off my card I:
  • printed the butterflies and bee from Beautiful Birthday Wishes on patterned paper, added highlights, and fussy cut
  •  printed a sentiment from Coffee and Flowers and die cut it with a tag die
  • dyed some seam binding with Walnut Stain/Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide (Ranger) and created a big bow for the end of my tag
  • added a couple pearls to the center of two flowers

To celebrate May being her birthday month, Gracie is running a 50% off sale (through the end of  this month) on all her digital sets. Stop by Graciellie Design and check out her other coffee/tea themed digis!

While your at it check out some of  the beautiful cards a few of my team mates made with this same digital stamp set:

I love the wood grain effect you created with the grey card stock - very realistic - and your flowers look great against it! Those flowers must have taken a long time to fussy cut but it was worth it as they look so great. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill
