Dragonfly Love

It's Tic Tac Toe time over at The House That Stamps Built. Choose three items (across, down, or diagonally) to include on your creation, then come by the blog and link it up! I went with Use Dimension, Watercolor, and Dragonflies.

To create my card I:
  •  Stamped my Mermaid Lagoon/Twisted Citron Distress Ink pads on my acrylic block, added water, and painted a background on watercolor paper
    • Added some splatters in the same colors
  • Inked up 5015-P, Postcard with Twisted Citron and bounced my Mermaid Lagoon ink pad around over it, spritzed with water, and stamped it over my watercolor background
  • Cut a piece of white card stock with Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders) and embossed it with 3D Texture Fades Botanical (Tim Holtz)
    • layered my circle on a doily cut with the Hello Doily dies from Sizzix
  • Stamped 10307-H, Patti's Flower Outline and 10315-E, Leaf Outline Wavy in Tuxedo Black Ink (Memento) on Vellum and fussy cut
  • Stamped 4401-O, Dragonfly (lg) on white card stock in Mermaid Lagoon/Twisted Citron Distress Ink (Ranger) and again on vellum in Tuxedo Black Ink (Memento)
    • used the distress ink watercolors (above) to paint the underside of the vellum
    • fussy cut both dragonflies and layered the vellum one over the card stock one
  • Stamped a sentiment from Plate 9900 in Versamark watermark ink on black card stock
    • added white embossing powder, heat set, and trimmed
  • For the finishing touch I added three matching sequins in the top right corner

  • For my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar
  • There's a new challenge every week over at  The House That Stamps Built
    • you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link or win
