He heals the broken...

Today I have a pretty spring card to share with you that features one of my favorite Heartfelt Creations sentiments to use on sympathy cards.

Here's how I put this card together:

I started by cutting 4 different papers from the Barnwood Pretty paper pack (The Paper Studio) into thin strips. I glued these strips at different angles to a piece of white card stock and embossed the finished piece with the Christmas Quilt embossing folder from Couture Creations. After distressing the edges, I mounted my card front on a piece of hot pink card stock – also with distressed edges.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the All Things Are Possible stamp set (Heartfelt Creations) in Black Soot Distress Oxide (Ranger) on white card stock, and die cut it with the Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders). While it was still in the die, I used Sponge Daubers and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide (Ranger) to lightly ink the edges. I matted the sentiment on piece of pink card stock die cut with the Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), and lightly inked around the edges with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide (Ranger).

To create my flowers I:

Stamped two sizes of Posy Patch Flower (Heartfelt Creations) on hot pink and white card stock using Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide (Ranger). I fussy cut around my flowers, turned them over, and lightly spritzed them with water. Next, I crumpled each flower into a tight ball to create wrinkles. After unfolding my wet flowers, I heat set them with my embossing gun. Next I inked the edges of the pink flowers with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide, and the white flowers with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide. I glued several flowers together and added a little glitter to their centers.

To finish my card I glued the flowers around my sentiment and accented them with tiny branches cut from green card stock using the Mini Holiday Greens dies from Sizzix.
