The Card Concept - Home for the Holidays

It's time for new challenge over on

This week the theme is : Home for the Holidays!
I was inspired by the red truck, black and white plaid, and snowflake to create
this fun mixed media Christmas card.

A friend of mine gave me a pack of red truck ornaments from Walmart (four of them for $1), and I used one of them to create this cute Christmas card! The background paper is from Graciellie Designs -- one of her recent digital paper packs, and I also added some "snow" via white paint splatters!

Supplies and Tools:
  • Cozy Christmas Digital Paper Pack (Graciellie Designs)
  • Tree Line Die (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
  • Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
  • Christmas Pine  (Sweet n Sassy Stamps)
  • Versamark Watermark Ink
  • White Embossing Powder
  • RedRic Rac
  • Truck Ornament
  • White Acrylic Paint

I love the way you've taken a simple Walmart find and made it into something so very special! The plaid and the rickrack are the perfect setting for the vintage truck ornament and the splatters of white, well that just makes me smile! Thank you so much for playing along at The Funkie Junkie Boutique blog in the It's the Holidays challenge. Hugs!
