The Card Concept - Give Thanks

Check out the new inspiration board over on The Card Concept blog!
 The theme this week is: Give Thanks
Everyone is welcome to play along using the colors, the theme,
textures, items, or just anything from the picture as your starting point.

I was inspired by the colors, leaves, and pumpkins to create this mixed media card.

~~~This post contains affiliate links at no extra cost to you~~~
I started by stamping the text background in black archival ink on watercolor paper. Then I embossed the leaves over top in brown embossing powder. The background and leaves were colored by swiping my waterbrush over my distress oxide ink pads and painting the colors on.
Supplies and tools:
  • These Sweet n Sassy Stamp Sets:
  • Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
  • Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
  • Skeleton Leaves (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Canson Watercolor Paper
  • Waterbrush
  • Jet Black Archival Ink (Ranger)
  • Versamark Watermark Ink (Ranger)
  • Primary Bark Embossing Powder (WOW!)
  • These colors of Distress Oxide (Ranger):
    • Rusty Hinge, Vintage Photo, Fossilized Amber, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers
Great take on the Card Concept Theme! I really like the layered background you creates and the addition of the black leaf die cuts - This is one of my go-to verses!
