Mother's Day Tea

As one of the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Designer Picks, I'm honored to be guest designing on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog today using stamps and dies from super sponsor Sweet n Sassy Stamps.

I decided to create a card and matching book mark to give to my mom for Mother's Day next week using one of my all-time favorite color schemes -- blue and yellow. I stamped the teacup in antique linen distress ink on watercolor paper and did a little no-line watercoloring. The bookmark was also watercolored, and I finished both pieces off with what my daughter says has become my "signature" -- spot stamped text and paint splatters!
