Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

This holiday season, more than any other, has brought what really matters in life into focus.  It was a year where I didn't get any Christmas cards mailed or any holiday baking done, there were no parties or get-togethers with friends, our church Christmas program was canceled, and we were involved in 5 funerals in the space of 2 weeks! To say "It's not been a very Merry Christmas season" would be an understatement, but it's ok because the reason we celebrate isn't wrapped up in traditions, decorations, programs, or parties. It's all about the birth of a Savior who gave His life to redeem us, and I can't help but think that the extra opportunities we've had to serve and care for others this month have honored the One this season is all about more than any of the things we've had to let go of. In the end, people are all that really matter, and especially those who are hurting and struggling.

Loving your card, So pretty! Hate to hear that you had so many funerals. I have been getting so stressed lately and I have to stop and remind myself what Christmas is all about. I did see that you used Arteza Real Brush Pens. I bought some awhile back and have been putting off trying them. Was trying to figure out if you put water on your cardstock first or not. I really know nothing about how to use them.Glad I spotted your post. Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Year!

Oh Esther, my friend, this is just beautiful and a needed message to many! Like yourself, I too have lost WAY TOO MANY friends over this year and fear 2022 isn't going to be a whole lot better. Your color & design on this card is AWESOME and I can feel the love & faith that went into making it! Hang in there my friend! Merry Christmas and thanks for always inspiring me not only in crafting but in my faith!!

that is all so true, the most important is how we love on others around us as Jesus did.
So sorry you have had to deal with so much at this time, sending hugs your way!

Beautiful card and perfect for the season, which is really all about Christ's birth, the greatest gift of all. Sorry you have had so many funerals. I just attended the funeral of a very dear friend yesterday (not Covid related). Prayers to all the families that lost loved ones.
