Primitive Sheep

I saw the pattern for these cute sheep on the  Create & Decorate website. I didn't follow their directions exactly, but used the pattern for the sheep to make some in my own designs. Not only did I change the image, but I also made knotted fabric hangers since I don't have any black wire on hand right now.  These little sheep were a lot of fun to make and very easy!
I also did one with a red prim house and red gingham hanger, but I gave that one away already!

Primitive Ornaments

As I mentioned yesterday I'm in the process of re-doing my bedroom.  Part of my primitive decor is a small tree (I love twinkly lights all year round!).
I created the crocheted stars after seeing some primitive jute stars on Etsy. Mine are made from twine and use this simple and easy crochet pattern I found on Pinterest. You can whip one of these up in 5 minutes or less.
Also on the tree are some paper bag sheep I created:
Here's the steps to creating your own:
  1. First  stamp a background stamp in white on the paper bag
  2. Trace a sheep pattern of your choice onto the bag (I drew my own)
  3. Layer a piece of batting between the traced piece of bag and a plain  back piece
  4. Sew along the traced lines
  5. Paint the head, tail, feet, and ear on in black
  6. Cut around the sewn sheep
Also included on the tree are some primitive jar tags I made with graphics (on sale for a $1) from Scrappin Doodles.
Here's a free tea stained jar image for you to use if you care to create some of your own!

Primitive Pillows

I'm working on changing my bedroom to a Primitive Country/Psalm 23 theme.  I have several do-it-yourself projects in the making -- the first of which is the above pillow.
I based my design on this framed picture from Pinterest.

I also made a second pillow for a friend using the same saying, but a different design.
I got the pattern for this one the Homeberries site -- scroll down to find this one.
(For a better view click on the pictures to make them larger.)

Fall Tree

I decided to make a fall card in the same design.
Here's the bottom of the tree with the pumpkin and flower soft.
I put a little squirrel in the hole of the tree trunk.
My little bear on her tire swing
The tree top with it's stitched edge, rolled flowers, and fall sentiment.

Fall Wreaths II

More "experimenting" with the All Season Wreath Stampin' Up set.
I made this one a two layer wreath (thicker) and added bits of flower soft to it.
Here's the inside view of this card:
Another wreath like the one above - with a slightly different card front.
A special thank you to Christa for the fall papers she sent me in my "Get Well" box!
I've been enjoying using them!

Fall Wreaths

I've been "experimenting" with the All Season Wreath Stampin' Up set.
For these cards I stamped a single layer wreath and added little spots of fall colored glitter to it.
Some matting, faux stitching,  and a sentiment from Harvest Expressions (Inkadinkado) completes the first card.
Same wreath with a little different layout...this time I added some punched leaves and a ribbon and turned my card sideways!
Come back tomorrow to see a "double layer" wreath with flower soft!

Jennifer does such a lovely job with the freebies I've created! I love seeing her beautiful work and appreciate her linking back to my blog!
She used my free "repair" tag on this one.

Once again: I'd love to feature your creations too --- just pop me a note letting me know where I can find your creative projects that feature my FREEBIE images!

Fall Decor III

One last framed piece of art for my fall decor this year.
It uses a fall pack one of my friends sent me as a "Get Well" present, and also includes a cute little Indian tag that another friend sent me last year as a sweet "thinking of you" surprise!

Here it is on my coffee table among my other autumn items.

Fall Decor II

Today's Fall Decor was created using a coloring page and a free Scripture printable from Karen @ Papercraft Memories! I added some colored pencils, markers, autumn flower soft, and a frame and wa-la-- a framed reminder to give thanks on my desk!

Fall Decor

First of all I want to say a big "THANK YOU" to everyone for their kind comments and prayers regarding my disc surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago.  I'm coming along, still not up to 100% --- probably more like 50% right now.

This past week I managed to start 4th grade with my daughter, but that is about ALL I was able to accomplish in one day.... just school. I did spend a few hours "crafting" on the evenings I felt like it -- and the above project is one of my super easy creations.

I recycled a country calendar page -- added 4 strips of scrapbook paper behind it--- and popped it in a frame.  I'm really lovin' how it turned out -- it really adds to my autumn decorations!
Here's my easy cover up for the hole in the calendar page ----- a bee sticker! It fits right in and I doubt you'd guess that it wasn't part of the original picture!
And here it is on my lamp stand with some other fall decor
(The picture is at an odd angle because the light wanted to glare on the frame!)
Come back next week to see more homemade fall decor!

Sharing two masculine desk calendars I made for 2013.
I used the easel card design to make these.
